Wool felt takes a shape and holds it, softens with wear rather than wearing out, and moves from early autumn evenings right through winter.

Our brushed and soft-brim styles rebound their shape after travel; the stiff-brim silhouettes are built to hold theirs and travel best on your head.                                                                                 What is a felt hat made of?
                                                                                Almost all of ours are 100% Australian wool felt. Wool takes a shape well, holds it through a season, and softens with wear rather than wearing out.
                                                                                Can felt hats be packed for travel?
                                                                                Some can. Our brushed and packable wool styles fold and rebound, and they carry a Travel Ready or Easy Traveler rating. Stiff-brim felt hats are rated Structured Style and travel best worn or packed in their own space. Every product page shows its rating.
                                                                                When should you start wearing a felt hat?
                                                                                Early autumn, as soon as the evenings cool. Felt is the transitional material and it carries from September through to spring, which is a longer season than most people expect.
                                                                                How do you clean a wool felt hat?
                                                                                Brush it with a soft hat brush in one direction, following the nap. For a mark, use a barely damp cloth and let it dry naturally away from heat. Never machine wash a felt hat.
